have you already tried to use a different browser? (I’m using Firefox)

Sounds almost like the issue I was having where the html headers were not being sent (Worked some times and not others). Just happened a few minutes ago … I am partial to blaming my ISP or some other caching/AV issue.

xolokram , is there is a way to get the sharelog (for a user or block) in raw form?

yep, i have… also mentioned it in my first post :stuck_out_tongue: chrome, firefox and even the dreaded internet explorer… all do the same…

this is a two week old installation of windows 7 ultimate 64bit, so its kinda fresh. this started occurring like 3 days ago…
all my pc’s have the same windows installed from the same usb stick… same antivirus, all same apps etc… this is the only one i am experiencing this with oO just cant figure out why it is happening! :smiley:

i think that is not the case here (the ISP / AV part)… since all my machines are behind the same router and the same connection… and only one pc doing this. all machines (apart from the tablet) use the same AV (f-secure)

it’s already planned, i will provide a JSON API to the data soon
there are some other issues with higher priority right now

@Automatiq:
sorry, i guess i totally missed your first post. i dont really have a solution for your problem :frowning:

Hi Guys,

Just started having trouble compiling the new 0.6RC2 build, keep getting this error:

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lboost_chrono
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lboost_timer
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [primeminer] Error 1

Does anybody know how to fix this?

I finally figured this out. I’m on ubuntu 12.04 I installed libboost-chrono1.48-dev and all of its suggested packages and I was able to compile then. These are the packages:

libboost-chrono1.48-dev libboost1.48-doc libboost-date-time1.48-dev libboost-filesystem1.48-dev libboost-graph-parallel1.48-dev libboost-graph1.48-dev libboost-iostreams1.48-dev libboost-locale1.48-dev libboost-math1.48-dev libboost-mpi1.48-dev libboost-program-options1.48-dev libboost-python1.48-dev libboost-random1.48-dev libboost-regex1.48-dev libboost-serialization1.48-dev libboost-signals1.48-dev libboost-system1.48-dev libboost-test1.48-dev libboost-thread1.48-dev libboost-timer1.48-dev libboost-wave1.48-dev xsltproc doxygen default-jdk

tried hidemyass.com, displays just the basic stat page without any “real” info (aka. not showing any shares or balance)

heh, np :slight_smile: it’s not that bad anyway, i can always access the stat page with my other machines if i need to, was just wondering if anyone else had this :smiley: the problem is clearly inside my main PC, so wasn’t actually expecting anyone to point it out straight away, thought i’ll ask to see if anyone had similiar problems :slight_smile:

anyways, laters!

Thanks for that, that works, will we have to do this from now on?

That is my fault, I wasn’t paying attention to the documention. In Gentoo there is only one boost library, it seems in Ubuntu they are split up into single packages.

In Ubunut you will need libboost-timer1.48-dev and libboost-chrono1.48-dev.

Yes. I will update the documentation.

/edit: Updated build instructions, lib GMP wasn’t documented either.

There’s a problem wiht thbaumbach’s poolminer. Two machines running, same behaviour, yesterday with 0.6rc1 and today with 0.6rc2. Miner is started with

nohup /user/local/bin/xolominer [options] >> xolominer.log

After some hours normal running comes

Probable prime chain found for block=bla
Targe: bla
Chan: bla
system:9 @ write_submit
system:9 @ write_submit
system:9 @ write_submit

endless, gigabytes of lines. My fritzbox terminates the connection every night at somewhat 3:00 for some seconds. Then the logfile continues and all seems to be ok. Any idea? Perhaps it would be wise to have a cronjob to restart the miner after one hour.

This means your miner fails to submit shares due to connection problems. My miner is just running fine for several days nonstop, so it’s rather an issue with your internet connection/routing.

But to tackle this, could you clarify, does this occur AFTER or BEFORE your router is resetting the connection?

this should only happen when you’re losing your connection right before the miner is submitting the share. is your connection down for hours or just a few seconds?

@qh
There is no obious reason, it works 10+ hours before it happens. But when it happens, then it throws this system9:lines till the router resets the connection. After reconnect it continous normally.

@xolo
I don’t think so. Connection seems to be very stable. Versions 04 and 05 worked on the same systems without this effect. Both system have debian wheezy with nothing else running on it.

I share the same experience, however, in a different environment.

I’m having a couple of digitalocean droplets running and one exposed that behavior, albeit they are all in the same datacenter (although i cannot verify if on the same host)

Hm, having just copypasted that i realize that this is only one minute of downtime, but my log exploded to 90mb.

Hence, is there a way to reduce the output of the disconnect message “system:9 @ write_submit”?

i’ll have to adjust the code of the miner

Can you tell me what should the value of threads to use?

thanks

This is the number of threads you want to use to process chains. I have a quad core cpu so I use 4 threads. If you have a better processor that has more cores you can set this to what ever number of threads/cores you want to run.

Anyone have advice for what the problem is here? I am 99% sure that there is no firewall issue. I can telnet 5.45.100.191:1337 and it opens up…but when launching primeminer_x32 and primeminer_x64 it keeps repeating this and never starts mining. My ypool works fine using jhPrimeminer but I’ve tried beeeeer on two different PCs with this same issue.
