Peercoin Release 0.6.4

Hello,

while the work on the brand new branch is where the focus is recently we are still updating the 0.6 branch. Latest version can be described as “bugfixes and polish” as there is quite some small fixes and overall polish.

Changelog:

New DNS seed nodes,
Multiple GUI fixes,
Improved GNU/Linux desktop integration.

There is now user-friendly way to launch the node in a testnet mode on Linux (Ubuntu with Gnome on the screenshot).

Binaries are hosted on the github, as usual:

Raspbian (for Stakebox and Peerbox) and Debian packages are being built now.

Great!
Two minor improvement suggestions:

  • The “About Peercoin” dialog should have a link to https://peercoin.net/ .
  • I am using Linux Mint 19 with Cinnamon desktop. When “Start Peercoin on system login” is selected, the created entry in “cinnamon-settings startup” is called “Bitcoin”.

How did you install peercoin-qt? Using the .deb package or?

No, I simply extracted peercoin-v0.6.4ppc-linux-gitian.zip.

Will you try the .deb package?

Which one? On https://peercoin.net/download, I only see the zip offered.

SHA-256 of an empty string is: e3b0c44298fc1c149afbf4c8996fb92427ae41e4649b934ca495991b7852b855

Unfortunately no, I don’t trust you with root rights yet. Anyway, here’s my pull request for the autostart name.
