Goals - Let's Outline our Short and Long Term Priorities

** Note **

  • Will update recent feedback tomorrow (Fri)
  • Start Monday Dec 9th, will put together a priorities list based on your feedback to discuss
  • Once priority list is established, we’ll start taking volunpeers per project

Yeah, put me down for the wiki. I’m getting the starting framework up this afternoon and I’ll share the link. Once we’ve populated it with the bare-minimum of content, and styled it to match peercoin.net, we can bring it live and then let it grow from there.

Phase 2 of Long Short Goals – Allocating Resources

I’ll send out a swarm later in the week that will request people take a look at the goals and decide which projects they want to spend their time. There are 3 categories:

Primary - Active person on the goal
Secondary - Assisting the primary
Manager - Someone that makes sure there’s moving in that category, acts as a connector

I’ll have the volunpeers update their choices here:

We have over 100 volunpeers, now it’s time to help match everyone against specific projects that move us to completing our goals. I wanted to give everyone a heads up.

why didn’t I think of this before, we need http://www.listentobitcoin.com/ for peercoin and primecoin

I’m waiting on a few more responses, I know people are a bit behind due to the holidays.

  • Adding the names to the individual tasks based on the signup below:

Hi all,

Can someone explain me how i should go ahead? I’m going to build up that ticket system. I suggest to create a subdomain like ticket.peercoin.net or something similar. I will need a WordPress installation for this ticket system. I can do all that, but i would need access to that subdomain. (FTP & database)

Let’s not wait to long. I think this coin deserves to be on top.

Cheers

Hi all,
I can help for the wiki. I can help for the development too.

The first post of this thread seems to contain a lot of outdated information and projects with people listed that aren’t even working on them. Unfortunately, JBT isn’t here anymore to update this thread. We would need somebody that’s active that can keep it updated with current projects and who’s working on them.

Regarding media:

I had a brief chat with Yurizhai last night, about an email distribution list for the newsletter, and any press releases or bulletins we may wish to put out, etc.

I am thinking of places such as investment magazines, companies that hold savings or park funds, financial journalists, and so forth. I have no specialist knowledge of finance, but google makes things easy to find

If you and others are agreeable, I can have a search round during the rest of this month, and build up a list of email contacts, broken down by category

I know we have a media email list here somewhere. JBT gave it to us. We could add a lot more to it though. Right now we pretty much distribute emails to people who have signed up at the forum. I think Fuzzy sent out an email to people about Yuri’s last newsletter.

Updating that list is not the hard part, but keeping track of where things are at is. I glanced over it, and at best I would be able to somewhat update half of them, just by reading the forums, but I’m sure I would still miss out on a lot without a proactive ways (and the time to do so) to gather the latest information and status.

I think this can only be done by someone like a JBT who actually coordinates all those activities and is a goto person for all contributors. I think that would be a hard find (major stakeholder?) or a paid job.
The alternative is to split up ownership of all those items across 2 or more people, but then those people need to coordinate amongst themselves. We need to invent distributed coordination without the real-world overheads
