I’d still like to have the basic management functions on the Overview screen. So that new people can participate in minting without having to understand the other tabs. The overview screen should be very opinionated (convention of configuration).
Advanced users can go into the specialized tabs for more options.
The main idea is that the wallet can be used in different configurations. So some applications (e.g. a notary application) might not need the specialized tabs at all and might leave them out but still work with the same keys as in the default PeerKeeper client.
I’ll think about how I can make the buttons more clear, thanks!
[member=32827]hrobeers[/member] Great work! Seeing the timeliness at which this project is being developed is impressive; I’m sure the community would agree with me that it’s very much appreciated.
Edit: Perhaps this thread should be relocated so that it gets more exposure?
The PeerKeeper demo got another update. QR code support is the major feature for this update. Please help by testing the QR code support on all your devices.
If something goes wrong, please check the javascript console (ctrl+shift+i) for messages like ‘QR code scan failed:’ or ‘QR scan result:’.

Update 15th of July 2016
You can now print your credit card sized key card, which contains your locked key.
This way you can take your locked key with you in your real wallet!
I’m now working on printing your keys to paper, just like the paper wallets.

I have always wanted a paper wallet yet never went through the process to make them on my own. It appears my first paper wallet will be with Peercoin instead of Bitcoin thanks to Peerkeeper. That says something about Peerkeeper…
Just an observation, but it seems like the leaf icon in your logo in the first post is tilted too far to the left. I think the leaf itself should be more upright like in this image?
Not by trade though I am capable.
You’ve done great work for the community. Are you able to join the effort for this project?
Forgot to reply to this. I am not a graphic designer. I have somebody though that does work for me. He created all of Peercoin’s logos.
Just to keep you guys informed.
PeerKeeper developement has become less visible, because I’ve been working on PARS and am now investigating some script possibilities.
I’m going to bring some smart contracts to Peercoin!
Just like with PARS, the chain is ready for this, I just need to prove it’s working.
PeerKeeper development will definitely continue as I need PeerKeeper to solidly demonstrate all of this.
So please keep supporting, the development didn’t stop, it just got a bit less visible.
[ul][li]You can now export your private keys, which means that you can start using the generated addresses in other clients.
Keep in mind that PeerKeeper still doesn’t fetch real balance data, that’s for next iteration.
[/li]
[li]Firefox compatibility is fixed. (it was caused by this issue: https://github.com/feross/buffer/issues/131)[/li]
[li]BIP44 & SLIP44 key generation is implemented and tested. Meaning that from now on, the addresses generated using a rootkey and password combination will never change.[/li][/ul]
In progress:
[ul][li]Fetching address balances from block explorer[/li]
[li]Implementing send transactions[/li][/ul]
In short, we’re getting close to a functional wallet.
Looking forward to your feedback and
please keep supporting this project.
