For some reason, my antivirus (avast!) decided to block your xolominer claiming that it has Win32:Malware-gen
I dont really understand why, given that it hasnt done it until today.
Is this just a false positive? I downloaded it from the link in this thread, and like I said, it hasnt done this until today.
Anyone else getting this problem or just me?
Question. I’ve been using beeeeer and love it, no issues.
Just a general mining question really. If I have 4 core processors, should I be using 4 threads or 8 (when you consider hyperthreading)?
Try 8 threads. If you notice a bump in the performance, keep using 8!

If the file has nos been modified it is a false positive for sure. I have it running on some machines and none detected anything. After all, there’s not much point in delivering a virus with the source code available You could compile it yourself (and, in my Linux machines, I did).
Download it again and see if the files are identical byte per byte: Open a command line and type:
fc /b file1 file2
and see what it says.
Yes we already have the ability to place the miner number in the script 1-65000 so i would think it should be easy to show stats from each miner.
Yeah, for that reason I have been identifying my miners from day 0!
I’ve gotten better results on 4. But let it run for 24 hours in both modes and see what results you get

@suva:
like montecristo83 said, you should try that yourself, but usually 8 should be fine (with HT)
thx montecristo83
@LeafMiner+drozenski:
new stats with more and detailed information are coming
if you want some sneek previews you could lurk the irc
@Destiffmast:
can you post your chains/day values so other users could compare them and say something about this
@avandesande:
you’ll just have to edit the makefile.unix
but usually it’s compiled with -march=native (implicit), which should give you the best performance
@theprofileth:
i think it’s not that easy. e.g. CP , registration keys , account credentials etc.pp. dont need megabytes to be illegal
and once the data has been shared it has been shared — legislatives won’t care about when it happened if it happened
dont get me wrong, i really like the idea of datacoins, but as long as those situations are not 100% clear i’ll be careful
and there are alot of todos on the xpm/pts pools anyway
@Absurd:
that’s a common problem for almost all (CPU/GPU-only-)coin-miners as botnet operators really like to use them on their zombies, thus antivirus companies just flag the binaries as malicious. it already has been discussed here. there’s nothing i can do about this except encourage everyone to build the software on your own (which is not that easy for windows users, i know). if you use the official builds from me be sure you’re using the correct download link from the first post and no third-party binaries.

Anyone else notice the the 20% increase then drop in workers over the past few days?
Also I dont know if this is a dum question, but what happens to all the shares/accounts that are dropped? I know I had a couple different set ups before I got my mining down pat so I am just wondering if the half xpm or whatever that i have floating around gets given back to the pool eventually?
Just can’t wait for that. Got maybe five 9-ch shelved in a past few days…
Keep this working
hello all, i’m new here, just started few days ago.
what i noticed :
had 2 computers running
computer 1)
*** 7-chains: 14 (82.353% | 2.625/h)
*** 8-chains: 3 (17.647% | 0.563/h)
*** valid: 17 (94.444%)
*** rejects: 1 (5.556%)
*** stale: 0 (0.000%)
computer 2)
*** 7-chains: 7 (87.500% | 1.299/h)
*** 8-chains: 1 (12.500% | 0.186/h)
*** valid: 8 (100.000%)
*** rejects: 0 (0.000%)
*** stale: 0 (0.000%)
so total of 21 x 7 chains and 4 x 8 chains.
However my statistics say :
3391 10.12. 13:35 0.95 +0.0014 0.951
3390 10.12. 13:25 0.95 +0.0028 0.9496
3385 10.12. 12:35 0.95 +0.0152 0.9469
3382 10.12. 12:05 0.93 +0.0014 0.9317
3380 10.12. 11:45 0.93 +0.0028 0.9303
3371 10.12. 10:15 0.93 +0.0014 0.9275
3370 10.12. 10:05 0.93 +0.018 0.9261
3368 10.12. 9:35 0.91 +0.0028 0.9081
3365 10.12. 9:05 0.91 +0.0028 0.9053
so there seem to be some loss during mining?? could anyone pls help me out, am i misinterpretating something?
thanks a lot ! !
CPPSRB payout system
some of your shares are stored in the sharelog for later payout (they are -not- lost)
i’m currently working (in my spare time! so please be patient) on re-working the user stats to offer more details (incl. submitted/stored/paid shares)
the amount of miners is still rising, which means it’s more likely that we build up the sharelog / store some shares due to the 2.5 days delay of block confirmations
@DiTo:
i decreased the share value a little bit (around 10%)
to slow down the sharelog increase
- xolokram
ps. there are currently 6888 share bundles (containing around 220 shares each) in the sharelog! and 156822 bundles in the sharehistory
In 24 hours mining I got 0.326 on a 6 core cpu, does this sound about right?
My stats are 1634 primes/s, 26194 test/s 480 5-chains/h and 0.707 chains/d
Should I change something on the miner config? its running standard did not change anything.

I run primeminer on 8 CPU and I have about 2000 primes/s, 30000 test/s 0.8 chains/d and a little bit bit more XPM/d
Hi all,
I’ve been lurking for a while, finally decided to register.

Which CPU are you using?
I’ve got an Intel i5-3570k running three threads ("-genproclimit=3") and I’m getting 2321 primes/s and 1.238 chains/d.
Similarly, running two threads on an i3-3225, getting 1400 primes/s and 0.7 chains/d.

i have similar stats, using 7 computers which together gives me ~ 1 chain/day
xolo,
Would it be possible to have a quiet mode flag? Objective would be to suppress all output except for submitted shares, errors, and the stats line which tells you how many shares of each chain-length.
It’d turn something like this:

Or perhaps even keep the stats line persistent across the top, in the same way cgminer has a section at the top of the command window for the stats and then the submitted shares below it.
It just makes it a lot easier to keep track of what’s actually going on
I have amd 6300.
My last cpu was a 1075T and was awesome for xpm, should have kept the dam pc!
i dont know if i already said this or just missed a PM (sorry if this happened), but are the “owners” of these “addresses”…

In that case, your figures seem about right.
http://anty.info/primecoin-hardware/ has the 6300 at around 1800 p/s.
I’m doing two days xpm mining. I did not receive any payment at all. 3:01 xpm was not paid? Phenom X6 processor with 6 xpm day win. But do not pay
http://xpm.syware.de/?a=AdBp81HNtQ4vTLpbRi6GSWvhBs6dLgZksz
It was supposed to pay already. Does not appear in the statistics for the previous days.
