Wanrning checkpoint is too old. wait for blockchain to download

Hi

I have downloaded the latest Qt v0.4.0 but when the block chain has downloaded it keeps giving me this message. It says the last block was generated 6 mins ago. 205232 of 205250 as of 11.06am gmt today.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it ends up the same once downloaded.

Help much appreciated.

Stuart

erm… how do we say this…
0.4.0 is no longer the newest version. You are probably on an obselete fork near 205200 when the coal face is at 208803 accessible only from a version 0.4.1 [04-Dec-2015]
Look up “Sunny King” around 11/11/2015 who posted a link to the one which works.
I had numerous restarts and after hourly babysitting of 0.4.1 for a week ended up with the current block chain

good luck with it

I see, thanks for the reply. where do i download the latest client from?

OK, found the link to 4.1

http://sourceforge.net/projects/ppcoin/files/0.4.1%20RC1/ppcoin-0.4.1rc1-win32-setup.exe/download

do i need to uninstall first and then run the new or just run it?

backup wallet.dat and uninstall first and then run to install.

Thanks, that didn’t work for me. I had to backup the wallet.dat then delete everything and then install.

All working great now. Long live PPC

Thanks for your help all

Whats that mean :warning:blockchain redownload required approaching or past v0.4 upgrade deadline.
over 24 hrs its like that…

Sounds like you need to delete and re-download your blockchain database files. The location of these files depends on what operating system you are running: https://wiki.peercointalk.org/index.php?title=Data_directory

It’s safe to delete everything except the “wallet.dat” file.

When you restart the client it will automatically begin to resync the blockchain. Depending on your Internet connection and processor speed it can take a while to get caught up.
