So I have a public address showing a positive balance of PPC, and I have the private key to access that address (supposedly). But when I use “importprivkey ” and it completes scanning the balance is shown as 0. I believe the wallet is corrupted somehow, as I’ve seen in other posts. I’ve tried to create a new wallet, but it says only legacy wallets support the importprivkey command. Just trying to figure out how to get my PPC either on a new wallet where I can access it/continue to mint/etc or regain access/functionality of the old wallet.
For more information, here is the public address I have the private key for supposedly: Trezor Peercoin Explorer
I was able to importprivkey on to another computer, but still showing 0 balance and still don’t seem to be able to access the peercoin. Still no solution, any help would be appreciated.
You could import the privkey to https://wallet.peercoin.net/ (create new seed + new peercoin wallet, then import privkey) and see if it gives you a different result and is spendable
It doesn’t make sense why both Peercoin-qt and the web wallet would not produce a balance. Are you sure the private key is the correct one for the address?
Since your wallet is showing ismine as true for the address, you should therefore have access to that balance.
What output do you receive for gettransaction b0b5e4c2b5c6db3db9667f6983c45468807cc88227073931da45dfbbe508b2d1?
Do you have any transactions in the transactions tab with a question mark on the left-hand side?
Also, can you please confirm you are using v0.15.1 of the software.
the about page on peercoin wallet says 0.15.1.0 anisoptera and there are no transactions with question marks, just one recieve and 6 mints (though 3 of these mints have a bracket around the number and it is greyed out)
Can you please click on the “Transactions” tab at the top and provide a screenshot of those transactions on there? Your last screenshot is on the “Overview” tab.
Please right click each and press “Abandon Transaction”. This doesn’t explain why you couldn’t obtain the balance by importing the private key on the web wallet though. It makes me think you had the wrong key.
