Wallet balance switched to "maturing"

Hello,

I’ve been purchasing Peercoin regularly for several months now. Today, I noticed in the new wallet that about 1/4 of my total balance switched to unavailable and “maturing.” Am I correct in that this part of my balance is related to minting and network security with the balance being available again after 500+ confirmations?
