Don’t be GUI dependent. 
No GUI also means less overhead for your VPS and potentially more primes per second.
I’m not familiar with cmd line, and when I run into a problem I don’t know what to do. Learning linux CMD’s just for XPC mining is a terrible ROTI. 
My primespersec is always 0 even the generate is true, is there something wrong with my setup?

I finally know where it went wrong. I was using the binary from sourceforge instead of compiling it from src.

ravelant, i have 5 nodes on digitalocean with 1 gb ram(10$ one ). and running 1 instance of prime miner each. (4 threads with -t option)
i have downloaded the source and compiled on ubuntu 12.04 (x64)
but i cant see values over 400 prime/h. so what am i doing wrong ?
