Transfer of wallet to new computer

I bought a new MacBook and would like to transfer the wallet from my old Mac to my new one? Does anyone now how that works with the most recent version of the PeerCoin wallet?

Thanks a lot!

On the old one:
Close peercoin-qt
Go to
$HOME/Library/Application Support/Peercoin/

Copy wallet.dat to the same folder on your new mac

I cannot find the folder in Application Support… Is there another location it could be?
Or how can I change the location peercoin is saving my wallet on my drive?

add -datadir=newlocationofyourwallet to your startup line
it can be found in %APPDATA%\peercoin on windows and ~.peercoin on others

The instruction for installation (Peercoin — The Pioneer of Proof of Stake) say that the folder should be named PPCoin. I created this folder in ApplicationSupport and copied my old wallet.dat to this folder but it still doesn’t show the Coins in my wallet. Thanks again for any help on that!

It’s called ‘peercoin’ now.

Hi,
I’m having the same problem, but on Windows.

This is how I solved it:

  1. Copy .dat wallet to %APPDATA%\Roaming\Peercoin\wallets\
  2. Open it from the drop down in the program.

In case someone else has a new laptop too.
