Peercoin Wiki

Hi All,

As some of you probably already know I put a Wiki up on http://www.peercoin.net so that we can start to consolidate all the information about Peercoin together and replicate the wealth of knowledge that is on the Bitcoin wiki.

I haven’t had much chance to update it further over the weekend but planning to start on it this week however I don’t know everything about Peercoin and I’m sure there are people more suited to writing / maintaining certain aspects than I am.

To that end could everyone who wants to be involved with writing content for the Wiki, managing sections, etc post in this thread so that we can get an idea of numbers (this also ties into the survey that is being conducted at the moment so might change around a bit).

For now I think it’d be useful to get an idea of who is interested, the area of the wiki that you could produce good content for and whether you would be available for maintenance/updating of that section.

I’d be interested and happy to help. When I have free time, I can gather and consolidate information from various sources and put in on there. Is that basically what we are wanting to do?

Nice! Some suggestions:

  1. I think both wikis should be merged. Two wikis for now are too much.
  2. What is the license for the texts? I would suggest the Creative Commons by-sa as it is by far the most used (e.g. Wikipedia).
  3. The wiki should be multilingual. I don’t know the wiki system you used (I am a bit familiar with MediaWiki, which is used at http://en.bitcoin.it ) but there are essentialy three possibilities: Or you set up one wiki for each language like in the Bitcoin wiki, or you look if there is a multilingual solution for the wiki package, or you do it manually with page names like “Peercoin Introduction/es” “Peercoin Introduction/de” etc. I can translate the basic texts into German and Spanish.

Ok lack of developer notes, white paper explained, more detail etc I have created a dedicated Peercoin Wiki here

Currently users are created by me as I do not want to be overloaded with spam etc but if people want to add something then PM me for an account and what you are wanting to add etc.

This is on my list. I will contribute when I have some time, likely around the end of this month.
