One of the Microsoft guy in charge of their BaaS. They are looking at other blockchain to support. I could be an opportunity for peercoin here:

(peercointalk doesn’t let me post external links, so please reconstruct URL manually by removing the spaces)
I’m kinda too distant from the community to handle this, but I support Peercoin project. If this could be useful to any of you guys I would be happy.

The Qt4 installer for windows seems difficult to find.
I’m willing to port the code to Qt5, it’s quite easy. But the development team doesn’t seem very fast in reacting to pull requests.
They don’t, for stability reasons. In addition, there are so many peercoin dependent forks that build from our base, we are very careful that way. Critical bugs are always fixed quickly though.
Our blockchain is where we focus our efforts on the most. Keeping that secure and sound.
A better (and more preferred) client for Windows “with installer” is this one:

With reacting, I don’t mean merging. I mean communication in general.
I’m very keep to help the development. I fixed the unit tests, no stability implications at all. https://github.com/ppcoin/ppcoin/pull/110
But I didn’t receive a reaction form the core team yet.
Actually I just want to know if the fix is considered to be merged somewhere in the future. And to know if I should keep doing the effort to contribute changes for my peershares project to the upstream code.
It’s an extra effort that I’m happy to do. But if no contributions will be merged, I’ll just continue with my own stuff without all the extra efforts.
In the meantime, I’ve sent a couple private messages to let people know and find out. Please hold on a tad longer and I’m sure you’ll hear something Your effort is appreciated by many of us.
I upgraded to 0.5.3 today, my 0.5.2 wallet seems to be stuck at block 206373 and won’t update, this issue existed before I upgraded to 0.5.3 and still remains. Any advice would be appreciated to fix this.

Try pos minting. I ever solved this issue by minting.

Which version did you upgrade from before 0.5.2? How many connections? If possible, try command console with getblockhash on 206373, also dig in the debug log to see if there is errors rejecting blocks.

Hello there, i am new here nd i face an issue like this one above.
I actually get a message Blockchain redownload is necessary
yes, your wallet.dat is the most important you need to keep safe, maybe you want to redownload the blockchain, than you have to delete %APPDATA%/PPCoin (that is also where your wallet.dat is , and where the ppcoin.conf is going)
I tried with download the new 5.4 version but still the same…
I will try to redownload the chain. I will have to delete only this %APPDATA%/PPCoin?
If I understand correctly, you need to back up your wallet first
Then download and install 0.5.4
If your coins are not showing up, delete the PPCoin file - according to irritant, this is where the blockchain is downloaded - with it deleted, the blockchain should download afresh
If that still does not work, uninstall or delete your PPC folder and reinstall from stratch - BUT DO NOT delete your wallet.dat file - slide it to a separate foler or location first (even though you have made a back-up, it is good practice never to delete wallet.dat)
NB I don’t have the original PPCoin client (I use Peerunity) so it would be good if someone can confirm the above sequence, that would help condoras
