Are there any plans to have peercoin ported to android and/or iOS? If so, what is the timeline?
I appreciate this is a non-trivial task, but it would be a fantastic way to stake 24/7.

Long story short, we agree but we need the funding. It’s definitely something we’ve talked about, especially recently since we’ve almost finished coming 100% up to date with current bitcoin code.

Cool. Would it be correct to say that once code parity is reached between Bitcoin and Peercoin, future developments (such as an Android wallet) become a lot less complex?
It is generally true that keeping the code bases similar allows us to port tools over to Peercoin, yes. Minting mobile wallets is clearly something Bitcoin doesn’t have, but they do have a number of wallet apps that we might be able to copy and adapt.
