Looking for pool to mine solo

#1

Greetings.

I am looking for a reliable pools to mine solo.
Would be graet, if You could show me some comparison.
Thanks.

#2

I am looking for the same thing or any tricks to make my own pool ?

#3

me three, actually i know there are a couple services available where you can solo mine, which is backward imo. I want to be able to really solo mine, so i looked into modifying ckpool, but without any luck, there is also NOMP, but havent tried yet

#4

I have tried NOMP, UNOMP and CoiniumServ

They give all the same error because the Wallet have a different RPC call and there is a way to fix it but how ?

#5

So, any news? Is there support dont catch the mouse? Or they not want to exceed number of pools?

#6

Paging @hrobeers

@hrobeers you were modifying some miner to support solo mining, what is the status?

#7

I think you can solo mine for 97% of the reward on http://mining.securepayment.cc/pools/ppcoin/

(here is the original post with the false accusations: https://talk.peercoin.net/t/fraudulent-mining-sites/ )

#9

I Huba.

I’m the admin of peercoin.ecoining.com. I answer in the other post Fraudulent mining sites

Can you answer me. You have a real problem? or only wants to do Bad publicity of the others pools because you want to make your own pool?

I am very annoyed with these comments

#10

Good time.
Can you share information about your pool?

  1. What OS: win or lin? If Linux, then which version?
  2. what version of daemon and give as source code to compile.
  3. what pool platform you use?
    etc.
    Thanks.

#11

Hi Andrey!

Sure.

I’m using Linux for all the servers. They are 5 Virtual Machines working:
-Web server+stratum
-Mail
-Wallet
-Database

I preferred configure every service in a different virtual machines for scalabilty and security. So, if a service had a security bug, An attacker should not be able to jump to the rest of services
I use Ubuntu Linux server with kernel 2.6 in all machines
PPC version is always the last one ). The version of the stratum is based in a old the ahmebodi stratum https://github.com/ahmedbodi/stratum-mining-multialgo with some changes
The pool platform is php-mpos https://github.com/MPOS/php-mpos

#12

These “few changes” just the most interesting! What specific changes need to be made? Open great mystery!
Many thanks in advance.
And why this version of pool? It is not updated for three years.

#13

I have a real problem, I was robbed of many THs without any reward!

#14

I’ve been solo mining using this pool code:

To set it up, you need to know what you are doing.
I changed the code so you can turn off the database stuff that is not needed for solo mining.

I guess this stuff are kind of trade secrets of mining pools.

If you can get my code working, great!
But I won’t do any fool proof packaging of this.

#15

Below is a post I put on another thread… I’m new , my bad…

**UPDATE - I’ve spoken with Coinotron & they agree merge mining may have some benefits. They are investigating & will touch base in a week or 2. Multipool.us has 4 merge coins for Peer mining. It is awesome but again unfortunately they don’t have the hashing power to be really competitive. Will update again soon.

I’ve reviewed & tested some pools recently. If you’re running S9’s, maybe S7’s, here are the 3 I recommend as most honest, reliable & stable pools.

  1. https://www.coinotron.com/app?action=statistics - Best Peercoin mining pool 2017
At this time I recommend this pool as a whole. Same as above but it does have a more consistent steady hashing. It will give you a average for your hashing & it is pretty accurate. Been mining there for 2 weeks & with 25Th average is 55 coins a day & it is right on the money. I was surprised but it is the most consistent. Down fall… no merged coins mining Peer :frowning:
  2. https://www.multipool.us/dashboard/
Nice web site, auto switching pools if desired, multipool coins available 256, scrypt or x11. If USA has east & west coast servers. fast tracert & all mined coins pay merged/alt coins
  3. If you have S9’s or S7’s you might want to consider: http://mining.securepayment.cc/pools/ppcoin/
This one is a solo mining pool. Username is the Peer wallet address. IF you find a block it claims you receive 98% which is approx. 62 Peercoins per block you find. I personally have not done this one yet BUT I can average 1 block per day with 25Th according to my miners. Again no merged/altcoins but if you’re lucky you could do better than the Coinotron average?
Looking forward to the future here with/at Peer

Try to cmake source-code is unsuccess. Cmake say:

All lib already installed libboost1.58-all-dev, mysql-server, mysql-common etc.
What do i have to do?
Thanks.

#17

In ubuntu, some boost libs need to be installed seperately.

e.g.
sudo apt-get libboost-program-options-dev

do same for all other missing boost libs.

#18

It’s not working. I’ve try to install all unexpected library by hand. :worried:
Same error. May be cmake need other version or need put lib somewhere? Or OS version is important?

#19

Try doing this:

you can set it like this:
cmake -DBOOST_LIBRARYDIR=/path/to/boost/libs

#20

cmake …/ -DPREFIX=~/peercoin-solopool/ -DBOOST_LIBRARYDIR=/usr/include/boost/
not success. Same error. :worried:
~/poolserver/build$ cmake …/ -DPREFIX=~/peercoin-solopool/ -DBOOST_LIBRARYDIR=/usr/include/boost/
