From my experience and that of others, you won’t have much success minting without a stake of at least several thousand PPC. You’d probably needed 10k+ PPC to offset the cost of electricity at today’s prices – and that’s just to mint. Even with a small stake, you can still support the network by running a node, especially if you have access to cost-free or very cheap electricity.
