Hello

Hi, I am new here. What are the key differences between peercoin and bitcoin?

Welcome virtualx,

There are plenty of videos made by Chronos on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCwFnHtczGkpm4k1cQU5vj1w). Maybe you’ll find this video interesting too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEgj_whkg08
If you want technical information about the differences you can read the peercoin white paper: Peercoin — The Pioneer of Proof-of-Stake

welcome

If you are looking for a new peercoin mining pool to join, I just started a PPC mining pool and am hoping for some wonderful people to join the pool. The pool fee is just .5%.

Since I can’t list an external link in the post, please just email me or send a private message.

A little about myself:

I have wanted to make a pool for some time now, but until two days ago it was just a thought. I lost my job of 7 years and decided to make the pool a reality.

If you have questions just shoot me an email

Welcome, we will be adding Peercoin to our mining pool soon stay tuned

that’s great. we need more ppc

These are excellent sources of information.
It’s worth mentioning that the whitepaper is slightly outdated.

Welcome! I am new here also. I used to mine litecoins, but then my motherboard melted. Now I am mining only peercoins, with my new computer ;D

Welcome, ypokkinen!

I would have to say that I think the electricity will cost more than the Peercoins you can get by mining with a computer. Most people use special mining equipment for this purpose. These days, the best way to get Peercoins is probably buying them from an exchange.

Sorry, I ment I am now minting peercoins, not mining. My electricity billing is included in the apartment rent, so no extra cost for electricity.

Peercoin is growing while bitcoin has been growth.

I’d say that Bitcoin is the first Proof-of-Work crypto currency and Peercoin is the first using Proof-of-Stake. To me that’s the key difference.

Welcome to the forum.
