I’ve not been able to upgrade because I’ve been getting a “Failed to read block” message when starting Peercoin for quite a long time… meaning I can’t get in and backup my wallet before upgrading.
What should I do?
You can copy your wallet.dat file out of the directory directly. On windows, it is in %appdata% in the Peercoin directory called ‘wallet.dat’.
Don’t worry about the failed blocks, just back up your keys and you should be able to upgrade normally. It is always going to say complain about missing blocks since there are no more blocks to get.
