Btcd port to peercoin

Wow! Great work! That sure was fast ;D
Nice, future of OT for Peercoin looks bright 8)

Wow I am going blind. 8)

Mind making a guess as how far away from ppcd being able to mint?

Running ppcd on Debian

sudo apt-get install -y git mercurial curl https://storage.googleapis.com/golang/go1.3.1.linux-386.tar.gz | tar xz export PATH=$PATH:~/go/bin:~/gocode/bin export GOROOT=~/go export GOPATH=~/gocode go get -v github.com/mably/ppcd ppcd

Testnet mode available.
There is still lot to do but with each commit and problem solved it looks like jumping into btcd was a very good choice.

Mably done PoS part fully so it’s theoretically minting-ready but I wouldn’t expect functional minting wallet in less then month.

I would love to see client implementing peercoin protocol but not using the same codebase fully working. That will be a great boost to the robustness of peercoin system on a funamental level.

Decentralized network on decentralized software.

Marvelous!
How difficult would it be to make it to work for nubits (Peershares) ? Nubits+OT sounds like the One Coin to Rule Them All [Mt. Doom erupting in the background ;D]

Happy to see your hard work on this map! Thanx for all kac-

FYI: first transactions have been successfully sent over testnet using ppcwallet.

+1

What steps are there between current state and being OT-enabled, from what you see?

That’s a great step. Good work!

Yes this is awesome. Fantastic work. I heard that Monetas are hiring people and have started developing Android apps and what not. If Peercoin is there when OT starts to get traction, we’re at (what I think is) the bleeding edge of the new crypto financial system.

I release a tool, as a part of ppcd project, that may be useful for some of you.
findstake - tool that will tell you when exactly your address will have a chance to mint! (github)

To find ‘minting times’ of your address, year ahead, simply type:
[kac-@home]$ findstake -diff 14 -days 365 PHjxLudamEvr1mDL7BX9DkEp5Nmt1f1d4i

[Info] got db: 135000 blocks (2014-09-26 13:19:34)

I am running it on wiindows. What is this I am getting ?

[Info] downloading https://s3.amazonaws.com/kac-pub/cryptos/peercoin/unspent-135k.tar.gz to xxxxxx\AppData\Local\Temp\db-download-1412600873-unspent-135k.tar.gz

Oh, and what if my address has many unspent outputs?

Of a first run findstake downloads database (10MB).

They will be searched consecutively, from oldest to youngest.

Windows bug fixed.

looks useful. want to give it a try when I have time.

This comes to complement http://poscalculator.peercointalk.org
I guess you have to enable coincontrol in Peerunity, otherwise you cannot distinguish your saving addresses.
