Balances : (out of sync)

Hello everyone! When looking into alt-coins a while back, peercoin sounded like a winner so here I am.

I am attempting to move my peercoin off of an exchange and into a wallet but after initiating the transaction, the peercoin wallet i downloaded from here says Balances : (out of sync) and I don’t see any incoming coin. I sure hope I didn’t mess anything up and lost the coins.

Any help is appreciated! MacOS if that is useful information.

You have to wait till the blockchain syncs. You should be able to see the progress by mousing over the spinning arrows at the bottom right corner of your client.

You can always look up your transactions on a block explorer as a sanity check.
