what VPS do you get that kind of performance?

We had around 4-5h downtime at eu Server this morning (2-7).
But i would rly like to know which machines you use.

“I”'m working on the backend / frontend servers

again is down :o

when will be stable working?

for those who’re not lurking the irc channel:
hard to tell, as the current problem (affecting the frontend and the backend) is neither produced by me nor by the pools, but a problem with the server provider and the connection to the internet for one of its server centers (where the backend & frontend are located).
pools are up, miners are connected, shares are stored, but the payments are currently delayed as the two affected server are coming up and down sporadically every few minutes.

this is annoying, for me as well as for you. i can’t really monitor or check anything as the connections are unstable.

i’ll report back once everything will be fine again or i get an official statement from my server provider (which will be hopefully within the next hours, although it’s really late here, so i wouldn’t expect too much happening…)

 • xolokram

ps. maybe something similiar happened this morning 'causing the eu server to hang (this is just a guess, as i don’t really have an evidence for such a coherence)
pps. website will be up in a few minutes again, dont panic

Why not use host based solution here? I don’t know a thing about windows, but on linux there are few ways of keeping miner up, like supervisord or script in my sig (these two are addressing slightly different issues, mind you).
xolokram,

At times, we do not have access to the SSH to change the poolid.

Possible to have -poolid1=xx -poolid2=xx -poolid3=xx in the parameters?

Eg: If EU pool (poolid1) is down, it will automatic switch to poolid2 (US).
My workaround has something similar. Not that nice as inbuild feature, but works (kinda).
primeminer_x64.exe -pooluser=ALv********** -poolip=176.34.128.129 -poolport=1337 -genproclimit=8
pause

its my .bat files are correct?
Yes :slight_smile:
You could add -minerid=N if u have several miners (for identification)

please resolve to this unpaid payments as soon as possible brother.

i mined today 64xpm but notpaid xpm are 23xpm :-[

System32 you could be polite, and still get your message across. System32 has a point, a pool can only function well if it is stable.

there’s nothing wrong with the unpaid shares and the sharelog, it’s part of the beeeer’s payout system aka CPPSRB (read it up, think about it, read it again, discuss if you still think there shouldn’t be something like the sharelog)
the only problem we had was that it was to high, but we’re currently working on this to decrease the size of the sharelog (read the last few pages and you’ll see a few posts about this), but it will (or it should) never be 0

regarding your deleted post (i guess you deleted it?!): you’re aware of the fact that the dates on the beta pages are bound to UTC time, so you’ll have to check this when you compare them to your wallet

peace. ::slight_smile:

Is something up with the difficulty or payout system? I am once again accruing sharelog shares seemingly faster than I am getting them paid out, but that’s not really as concerning as the apparent big drop in XPM/hour rate which I cannot find a way to explain on my end.

I actually added another 12 cores (similar to the other ones i am running) of mining capacity yesterday, and yet my XPM/hour has dropped 20% over yesterday, and 50% under the day before, and is now about at 50% of my 7 day average, and that average is itself about 30% lower than my 30 day average. The XPM/hr rate has been rolling down the hill all week but today it found a cliff and jumped off!

Anyone else seeing this?

@system32:
check my PM, i’m sure you’ll see what was wrong in your calculation (in your msg you’ve deleted :wink: )

@mikeymillie:
it would’ve been easier to post (or PM) your address, instead of talking about percentages / relative values. have you additionally checked the sharelog (is it increasing?) ? are you aware of the downtime of the EU server yesterday (if you’re using it) ? are you aware of the sharelog cleanup we’ve been executing from early January on to reduce the size of the sharelog (and it’s influences) ? are you aware of the fact that the network is rising (a lot!!) ?!? did you notice the difficulty increase from 9.x to 10.x within the last 30 days?!?

i’m checking some of the address that are mining on beeeer from time to time (maybe you should too for comparison!)
and i’ve not seen such drops, “cliffs” or the “Mariana Trench”

 • xolokram

ps. i should code…

/edit: as you’ve added your stats to your post
with less (or let’s say around) ~1000 shares per day you’re still depending a lot on the randomness of mining (aka luck)
or in other/simple words: i can catagories your daily performance into “good day” / “bad day” by just looking at your submitted 9, 10 & block shares !!!
and the sharelog payment order has been fixed on 5th of January, before that the payment system gave advantages to newer miner over older miners (from late November)
also check the sharelog, i guess it’s increasing, as the overall number of miners is currently increasing

or in other words: i can catagories your daily performance into "good day" / "bad day" by just looking at your submitted 9, 10 & block shares !!!

I guess thats encouraging - so if my worst day is 0.087/hr and the mean is 0.165/hr, you are saying since these are normal ranges of good and bad days i should statistically see at least one 0.33/hr day sometime soon?
I am keeping fingers crossed :slight_smile:

Thanks for replying

Not really, you’re no more or less likely to have a good day soon because you’ve had a couple of bad days. Past results don’t influence future ones.

The difficulty is increasing & rewards are decreasing over time too, particularly since about the 5th or 6th of January, so you should expect to get less for the same processing power over time as the network grows & people buy faster/more cpus.

I added -minerid to my miners bat files. And i only see totales on beer beta site http://beta.beeeeer.org/index.php?p=user&s=xpm. Where can find info my -minerid’s . Thx.

On the stats page, default ID is ALL. Select your minerid to see the stats for that miner.

Why is beta.beeeeer.org always unaccessible recently?

No Problems here, i check 3-4 times/day and can access it. Only once last week, when xolo was working on the front end it was noch accessible.
