[ANN] beeeeer.org - PPS Primecoin pool! ------- DEAD

[quote=“neonetgen, post:1481, topic:342”]i have an AMD FX 4100 and im only using 3 cores

This is my last 2 entries into my debug.log

Try “grep primemeter ~/.primecoin/debug.log”

Hey, i just started mining on that pool. I started primeminer and it says things like

[MASTER] work received
[STATS] 2013-12-14 15:15:33 | 180 primes/s, 2696 tests/s, 120 5-chains/h, 0.116 chains/d

all the time, so i think it is working.
But where can i see, how much coins i actually get?
If i look at http://www.beeeeer.org/user/[myaddress], it says
current balance: 0.0
(contains only paid shares; current payout barrier is 3.01 XPM)

SHARELOG/HISTORY CURRENTLY DISABLED, UNDER MAINTENANCE!
please use block/payout info pages atm
meanwhile, you can use Sy’s stats: here
<-- be aware this only contains ‘paid’ shares, not pending shares!
pending shares (sharelog): BETA paid shares (sharehistory): BETA

Okay, i probably do not have 3.01 XPM yet. But where can i see, how much i do have until now and how long it will take for me to get to the 3.01 XPM?

Edit: I also looked at Sy’s stats for my address. It says:

Invalid address [myaddress]

With that speed you will make like 0.03 - 0.04 coins/day, which means you will need like 75-90 days+ to make 3 coins.

Okay, thank you for the fast answer. I got the speed a little up by using an additional core, so now i got this:

[STATS] 2013-12-14 15:32:49 | 329 primes/s, 4861 tests/s, 360 5-chains/h, 0.210 chains/d

Can you also tell me, where i can see, how much coins i already mined? Will the program tell me, when i get some?

Once you’ve submitted a few shares and the pool has registered it (at your speed, I wouldn’t recommend holding your breath), SyStats will update and you’ll have a record there.

The command window will tell you when you’ve submitted shares.

Out of curiosity, what are you mining on?

[quote=“BOFH, post:1480, topic:342”][quote=“pariah99, post:1476, topic:342”]My 2.8Ghz quad core nehalem is currently getting the following stats:

[STATS] 2013-12-13 23:05:19 | 519 primes/s, 8398 tests/s, 0 5-chains/h, 0.220 chains/d [STATS] 2013-12-13 23:06:19 | 468 primes/s, 7398 tests/s, 180 5-chains/h, 0.216 chains/d [STATS] 2013-12-13 23:07:19 | 486 primes/s, 7742 tests/s, 360 5-chains/h, 0.224 chains/d [/quote]

That’s… Around what you might expect from an AMD Phenom II X2 555 on Linux :)[/quote]

I know :frowning: I’m trying to get dual boot working; unfortunately, my non-EFI graphics card is giving me headaches when trying to set a boot loader. At least I can run it in the background while I do non-CPU-intensive work in OSX :stuck_out_tongue:

Xolo
I have very much rejects today on US pool, 10-20%

[STATS] 2013-12-14 18:14:38 | 7-CH: 52 (88.1% | 25.0/h), 8-CH: 5 (8.5% | 2.4/h), 9-CH: 2 (3.4% | 1.0/h), VL: 59 (80.8%), RJ: 14 (19.2%), ST: 0 (0.0%)

Hey, i’m fairly new to the whole mining thing, but thought I would give this pool and primecoin a whirl.

Currently getting:

Is that fairly decent to keep running all week etc?

I’m not familiar with how well Wine works on Mac OS X but you could give that a try as well.

What happened? I am having over 10% Reject! >:(

Have you calculated the costs? Subtract those from the coins you mine and you know.

Being a newbie myself – 11 days, +11 coins – I have calculated that home mining is not so profitable.
Whereas VPS mining is in some cases, depending on the hardware deployed…
In those 11 days, I’ve seen major VPS providers just loose out.
So I started my own. Specialized mining rigs; top performance and no need to be afraid
you get booted because of using excess CPU share or power.
Main theme: You pay for an excellent rig, and you make a profit mining with them.

See for yourself… Tuned to the max.

I’m not going all commercial here, I know that’s not appreciated.
Those interested know where to find me.

Here you find my steep learning curve

5.6 at the moment…

Uffff :-\

Could it be that difficulty exploded overnight? I get only 5% of what I got yesterday (in terms of chains/day)…

Does that mean I earn 5% from what I earned yesterday? That would be very far from being profitable.

something must be going on all my miners have slowed down, stats / block info pages on beeeeer.org are not updating?
think there must be a problem there end.

[quote=“NeilChill, post:1495, topic:342”]something must be going on all my miners have slowed down, stats / block info pages on beeeeer.org are not updating?

Please explain “slowed down”? Did you notice the difficulty change?

Primecoin Network Block: 313414, Difficulty: 10.00429338, Reward: 9.98 XPM, Minted: 3575568.95 XPM.

Xolo you should lower payout thresholds on both PTS and XPM pool at the current rate. Just a thought. Both networks have skyrocketing "hash"rates… :-X

Difficulty has gone up, yes. Was at roughly 9.995 yesterday.

But what puzzles me is that the miner-stats decreased a lot. For example one of my miners produced 0.7 chains/d so far, since today only 0,03 chains/d. Also primes/s became less.

When looking at peoples syware stats it seems earnings are not affected that heavily though. Why is it that the miners show different values then? Some pool parameters were changed? The miners show incorrect values?

Thanks

Yes, my computer used to have about 2500primes/s and 1.6chains/d but now I only got 1800primes/2 and 0.061 chains/d!

it reduced more than 50%, I don’t know what is gong on.

Is this http://anty.info/primecoin-calculator/ correct? because If It is - I’m mining ~twice faster than before - and yes I used the new ch/d from my primeminer!

[quote=“ninjafocus100, post:1498, topic:342”]Yes, my computer used to have about 2500primes/s and 1.6chains/d but now I only got 1800primes/2 and 0.061 chains/d!

Your chains/d reduced also down to less than 5%, just like mine.

As daniobg just posted, http://anty.info/primecoin-calculator/ has changed as well.

So something has fundamentally changed. Somebody care to explain to the noobs please what it is

EDIT:

I guess the truth is hidden here somwhere: [XPM] [ANN] Primecoin High Performance | HP14 released!

Well, your total chains/day is about 3.2 then. Since difficulty is about 9.86, that means only about 14% of chains will result in a block (because 1 - 0.86 = 0.14). Then we can estimate how many blocks you should get in a week:

3.2 chains/day * 7 days/week * 0.14 blocks/chain = 3.136 blocks/week

Combined with the difficulty that jumped from 9.995 to 10.0something. So there are now more blocks/chain???

difficulty is at 10.x now.

@padre999+ninjafocus100:
there’s nothing i can change on the pool side to decrease your chains/day perfomance, it must be (a) difficulty or (b) on your side / your VPS provider.
afaik
chains/day depends on the difficulty (–> a?)
while primes/sec doesn’t (–> b?)

@donshoe+everyone else:
yeah, maybe you’re right.
what about 2 XPM barrier?

@NeilChill:
?
