I can across this Nov 2013 video, which seems to really explain the current price of Bitcoin today (Feb 17, 2014)

Most people keep thinking that Bitcoin belongs around $1200 and anything less is a crash.

Take a look at this video, it is 20 minutes but very easy to watch, and makes perfect sense.
