So I have been mining for about month and yesterday I decided I was going to give jhprimeminer a go as I was unhappy with the results I was getting on beeeeer.
I understand that PPS isn’t a great reflection of payout, but how can there be that much difference between a miner running on a thin client linux machine and windows 7!
You won’t find much difference between the pools unless there is customised software with optimisations.
In my opinion the AVX jhprimeminer is alright, but the normal one is worse than xolominer.
It’s up to you to determine which pool is more profitable. Furthermore, ypool takes 3% fee, so you’ll always be behind even after optimising. Unless you use candypool.
The differences in the numbers are due to different formulas used to calculate them. I’m not sure if prime/sec is the same as PPS.
