From looking at https://www.mintpal.com/voting it appears that it will cost ~20 BTC or 20,698 user-hours to get PeerCoin to the top of the list! :o …this is especially shocking in light of the fact that 20 BTC probably exceeds the total market cap of most of the leading contenders! It kind of makes me suspicious of MintPal, and I question how an email swarm will stand against this form of extortion.
I don’t like that either but there’s still nothing to lose by trying. Unfortunately MintPal are growing pretty popular, especially amongst people new to crypto. Peercoin loses a bit of visibility by not being on the exchange.
