[center]Peercoin Weekly Newsletter - Issue 5
November 28th

Introduction

Thank you for joining us once again for this issue of the Peercoin Weekly Newsletter. As everyone is well aware, this week in crypto has been significant in terms of mainstream exposure. So much to talk about, let’s get started.

Charity Campaign

One of the cornerstones of the Peercoin community is social responsibility. Please take a minute to help us support our upcoming Peercoin charity drive led by Okerlo:

Responsible Investing

As Sunny King said in our New York Times article, "We are not greedy. We think crypto-currency also needs moral character behind it.”

For many of you who are experiencing the fun of owning Peercoin for the first time, there will be a temptation to invest large sums of money with the expectation that the value can only go up. This is a friendly reminder that cryptocurrency is highly speculative in nature, and it will wildly fluctuate in the coming months. Please do not purchase more cryptocurrency than you can afford to lose. Peercoin prides itself on having a friendly, supportive community, and we feel it is irresponsible to not warn new Peercoin holders of the risks inherent in market speculation. Have fun

Jays Jerky and Goodies

We are proud to join Bitcoin and Litecoin as an official payment option for Jays Jerky and Goodies. Look for pictures and giveaways in the next newsletter.

Strategic Planning

The Peercoin community is grateful for all the participation we’ve seen in the past 2 months. Now that we’ve crossed the 100 volunpeer mark, it’s time to take a look at all the different projects happening within the community, get feedback and start putting together a strategic plan for the next 30/60/90/180 days.

If you’re interested in watching our progress or feel like getting your hands dirty yourself, please follow us here:

Additional Developer Resources

Peercoin is always looking for additional talented developer resources. If you are interested in joining us in Peercoin development, please PM PeercoinEnthusiast immediately. Take a peek at the strategic planning link above, there’s plenty of interesting projects to keep all developers engaged.

Peerbet - Peercoin

We are proud to announce that Peercoin is now an accepted option for Bit777’s Peerbet.org!!

"Peerbet.org - the first online gambling platform with zero house edge and without negative profit expected value for the players! It is really free: players compete against each other, not against the gambling site and there are no hidden costs or commissions. 100% of the revenue comes through ads.

In any casino or online gambling site like Just-Dice with non-zero house edge players will always lose playing long term, but in the truely zero-sum game (i.e. where no house edge or any other commission fees applied) players will NOT lose anything playing infinite long."

For more information about the announcement, please head on over to:

Have fun and please wager responsibly.

If you haven’t taken a look at the website lately, we recommend you take a look at the progress by Super3:

There’s been a number of mainstream interview requests trickling into Peercoin. Expect to see quite a bit more mainstream coverage in the coming weeks.

** Added **

Reddit got a sexy new redesign!

http://www.reddit.com/r/peercoin/

Looks great. Only two changes I see are “led by Okerlo” instead of “lead”, and an extra decimal in the price under the records broken section.

Good spots, thank you. fixed

Under the charity section it needs to be to instead of a.

Thank you. ** Fixed **
