addnode didn’t work for me, but adding the following to primecoin.conf did:

I am having the same problem as many, it seems. I checked the debug file, and it is having a problem connecting to the various servers.

etc etc and so forth. I have tried the possible solutions here, but have had no results. This is a clean new install of the Primecoin wallet, and Litecoin and PPCoin are working just fine. Any help would be great.

Forgive my utter noobiness regarding the wallet function. I’ve seen a lot of things about the .conf file for cryptocurrency wallets, but I’m not sure I’ve put mine where it needs to go. The .conf file goes into the same directory as the wallet.dat, correct?
EDIT: I got it working, it is synching now. I’ll update when it is finished.
Yup, the .conf file goes in the same directory as wallet.dat exactly. On Windows that is usually %APPDATA%\Primecoin and on Linux, it’s $HOME/.primecoin.

Keep getting “connection timeouts”
I tryed adding nodes to the .conf
Also checked my clock
Open the port in my firewall/even turned it off…
But still i can’t connect…grrr
Other wallets like btc ltc work fine for me…
Any1 that could help me out??

A bit off topic but am I right in thinking that you don’t need a dedicated mining program with primecoin and can just mine from within the wallet?

The wallet I’m using is Primecoin v0.1.2xpm-beta which I presume is the same thing?
Depending on how fast your computer is, it will probably take over a month to find a single block and you wont get any Primecoins until you find one. I’ve been mining on 4-6 fast computers since December 1st and I have only found 13 blocks, 2 of which were orphaned so they did not reward any Primecoins. I would recommend pool mining or saving your electricity.
v0.1.2xpm-beta is also not the high performance wallet. You can go to primecoin.org and see the two links for the regular wallet (cash bag) and the high performance wallet (bulldozer). The high performance wallet will lead you to the repository I linked to before.
I have the same syncing problems. And I didn’t see the “primecoin.conf” file in my %Appdata%. It was just not there! So I created it and just added the "[quote=“mikaelh, post:23, topic:278”]

Привет! Время идет, а проблема синхронизации возникает… и даже тогда, когда я выполнила все вышеизложенные советы, количество подключений у меня = 1, синхронизация конечно же идёт, медленно. Возможно, имеется какая-то новая информация по обновлению и синхронизации кошелька, по его усовершенствованию. Поделитесь, знатоки! И спасибо большое
