PoS as a means of exchange or a store of value

With PoS, am I right in thinking that peercoin has more of a viable future as a store of value but not as a means of exchange. I’ve been thinking about Gresham’s law “bad money drives out good” - if PoS encourages people the keep their coins, then surely another cryptocurrency with a different system will be exchanged more often. Therefore, peercoin will function as a store of value that is exchanged less so. Am I on the right lines here?

Anyone?

Copernicus/Gresham’s law applies to coins valuated/enforced by central authorities.
