Peercoin v0.5.2 Release

glv responded to my thread about Peerunity…

I merged the v0.5 protocol changes (among other things, like the new GUI theme) in my master branch (https://github.com/glv2/peerunity). I tested it a little on testnet, and it seems to work fine. Maybe someone with write access to the Peerunity repository could pull this branch in. After that, changing the version number and compiling the binaries shouldn't take too long.

I couldn’t remember the url. So I tried to update using the existing repository on the R-Pi.
So far so good.

edit: good news. My R-Pi running v0.5.2ppc has found a block since yesterday. So it’s really working. The minting diff is 11.26 now.

The release tag for v0.5.2 is v0.5.2ppc, not v0.5.2, which is a bitcoin tag
I try to compile 0.5.2ppc-beta on Raspberry Pi and is having problems.

I have a cloned git repository of v0.4.1 so I

 1. [tt]cd ppcoin[/tt] into the git directory
 2. [tt]git tag[/tt] and see many tags. v0.5.2 is the only one looks like what is needed. I don’t see v0.5.2ppc-beta
 3. [tt]git checkout v0.5.2[/tt]
 4. [tt]cd src[/tt]
 5. generally follow https://docs.nubits.com/nu-raspberry-minting/ to [tt]make -f makefile.unix[/tt]

The problem is I get bitcoind as the built binary and it demands ~/.bitcoin/bitcoin.cfg when started

How to fix the problem? Did I check out the wrong branch?
I use Peerunity (v0.1.3) and am not sure what to do

Should I wait for glv to conclude what he/she is doing, and then download from his link - or should we wait for a formal/official link available from peercoin.net?

I run the official client on the R-pi and peerunity (not minting) on the laptop. hope peerunity will be upgraded soon.

Hi, I’m using Mac OS and seeking wallet in .dmg file. It is possible to downloaded somewhere? Thanks

This isn’t the updated version though. It’s outdated.

I have started preparing Mac OS X VM to try building .dmg for new ppcoin release. But can not promise nothing, cant give any release date.

So, there’s no updated Peercoin QT and now updated Peer Unity for Mac?

So, am I correct there’s no Peerunity update yet?

And what happens with minting then? Is the wallet’s data that I’m backing up and then restoring, including the days minting? I would assume so but I’m not as tech savvy as 95% of coiners…

This is the Peerunity update, that incorporates the latest Peercoin QT Core v0.5.3
