Peercoin on Raspberry Pi

Thanks for setting up a node. I think my peer4commit account must have been deleted during a spam account clearout. I’ve contacted the owner of the site and will send your tip as soon as possible. Sorry about the delay.

Good afternoon. I ordered a raspberry pi 2 to create a node . Will I have to do ?

Hey… RPi 2 is not supported yet.

Maybe @peerchemist can give us an update on that?

The raspbian version should work like normal, because the hardware changes shouldn’t make much difference for the compiling process.

I can confirm that I’ve compiled peerunity v0.1.2.0 RC2 successfully on my RPi 2 with raspbian.

Yes! Thank you for testing!

Are people still being offered coins for this? …

If so I I’ll gladly pick two pi’s one to mint and another to node.

Yes! Coins are still on the table

I like how you think  I do it the same way

I encourage everyone here to maintain back-ups, perhaps monthly ones. I’ve experienced multiple corruptions when power went out, both with Peerunity and Peerbox. They’re not fans of having power yanked.

What do you need to backup, the wallet file or the entire peercoin directory?

I image the whole SD card to an ISO file using Win32DiskImager for Windows. If the system crashes it takes 5 minutes to restore the image and get it back up running. There’s also Rufus for Windows or ImageWriter for Mac.

Honestly, I’d keep a backup of the entire SD card, much easier to dd the image back on after a corruption.

But the wallet would be sufficient. I’d keep an encrypted wallet.dat on a flash drive at all times anyway, just in case.

Looks good. I still don’t have access to the PPC on Peer4commit so I can’t send the tip right now, sorry. I will send it if I’m added back as a fundraiser to the project. Waiting for a response from sigmike at the moment.

Can I post my proof now and still be eligible for the reward later?

Please tell me, how do I do?

Yes, no problem.

I have been added back as fundraiser on Peer4commit now so I’ve sent Equadex’s tip, thanks for your patience

Peer4commit doesn’t allow tips to be sent to email addresses any more so I have updated the instructions to now require an identifier instead. @zoiner would you mind creating a Peer4commit account and posting your identifier so I can send your tip?

River333, my Peer4commit identifier is :

Thanks
