Peercoin Faucet
ok one more dumb question as this is now abit off-topic

how long might it take to mine a test coin - minutes? hours? days?
GPU: Seconds, you’ll be nearly the only one to mine PoW on testnet
CPU: Minutes to an hour… depends on you CPU

There’s also a testnet faucet which is not empty: http://testnet.peercoinfaucet.com/

welcome my friend!
for the other guys:
it would be great if someone can initiate a faucet site just like btc25 which i think it is the best out there.
It pays from the ads that it has, not only from donations

Hm. worth thinking about.

I actually just joined this forum to tell people about the Peercoin faucet I just made:

http://peercoin.cryptorials.io/

I set it up to celebrate the launch of my blog - Cryptorials - which I’m using to publish crypto tutorials.

The PPC faucet is currently set up to give away 0.00025 Peercoin per claim, and you can claim once per hour. I think that makes it the highest Peercoin faucet around. There’s another good one here: http://www.ppcfaucet.co/ but they give away variable amounts with a 0.0002 max, so mine is better :stuck_out_tongue:

It is ad supported and also will help me to promote the main Cryptorials website, so it should always be well funded. If anybody knows another PPC faucet which gives away more than me (and which never runs dry) then please let me know and I will do my very best to beat it. Thanks!

Just topped up that other temporarily empty faucet here: http://peercoinfaucet.com

I hope this is not about beating each other on the amount of coins you can withdraw on each other’s faucet, but more about introducing people to PPC.
Together we will flourish!

Lol, its about about both! A bit of competition is healthy and may improve the amount of free coins that a newcomer can get from different places, giving them a more positive experience.

Its great that you topped that one up though - I need to break even on mine so I can’t give away as much as that per claim.
