A couple of weeks ago, I bought some NuShares on Bter, and today wanted to return them to Bter (100,000 NSR)
Although they appear to have left my client, the transaction reads zero confirmations, and the 100,000 NSR have not shown up at the deposit address at Bter (I have double-checked the address I sent them to, and it is correct)
Can someone have a look and see what’s happened?
The Transaction ID is: 8b0282bbfb3ce4617916406792f8dcacc25282e3b481914f58108c6bdb608b23
I suppose I ought to raise a ticket with Bter, but would like to ask here first

RobertLloyd, I’m not seeing that transaction in the blockchain. Can you check to see what version of Nu you are running? My hypothesis is that you are on an fork of the network (either because you haven’t upgraded to 0.5.1, or because of a network condition unrelated to the version you are on).
You can check the version by looking at the information screen under “Debug” (you can find this in the “Help” file menu option)
Can you check to see what the block count is for your client? You’ll want to compare it against the count at http://blockexplorer.nu and see if they match. If they don’t, you somehow ended up on a fork.
Fixing it isn’t hard, but it will require you to resynch the blockchain. Shut down the client and then in the Nu data directory (let me know what OS you use and I’ll point you to its default location) delete the blkindex.dat file and any blk00x.dat files you may have. Once they have been cleared, restart the client and it will synchronize.
It could be that Robert didn’t wait for the client to sync before sending ? I think he could run the client with -rescan and see if the transaction disappears. If it does then send again.
If the client shows sync’ed but the last block is different from the blockexplorer, then one can try running the client with -checkblocks=Nto check if the last N blocks are good. If Robert ran the client with no problems 10 days ago, then 10x24x60=14400 blocks ago must be the right chain. If that fails he can try downloading a new chain.
if you are using windows, start a command window, cd to the executable directory where peerunity is installed, type peerunity -rescan
google might return screen shot. it’'s the same with bitcoin
The 100,000 NSR appeared in my Bter account this morning - this is despite me not trying any of the above ideas
On my client, the zero confirmations has turned to 700 confirmations
In case it is relevant, I left my computer on overnight to allow it to sync (it syncs very slowly)
Is this a client/syncing issue? I did not realise that the wallet had to be up-to-date to send coins (I think I have successfully sent PPC before with the wallet being synced)
What happens is that the outbound transaction was held until your client was able to confirm that you still, in fact, had appropriate access to those NSR. I’m glad it worked out, and I learned a few things, too, reading some of there responses.
From memory, during the waiting period, the top row of my transaction list was coloured blue, and the green (confirmed) icon on the far left had, instead, a blue square box icon. On the far right (and it is this that is the source of potential confusion) was the figure “-100000” in red - which implies the coins had already gone (as distinct from an instruction to go, which has not yet taken effect)
Would it be possible, in a future update, to add text saying something like “transaction pending, awaiting up-to-date syncing of client”? This could take the place of the “0/6 confirmations”
Or there could be a red exclamation mark (!) in the far left box. When the mouse is hovered over it, a text box could appear, providing more information
