New Bountie Ideas

Ok so lets get our thoughts and ideas down for what we think will advance PPCoin and see if there will be bounties raised for them.

Please post your ideas to this thread or feel free to start a new topic but I may have to review how I organise the bounty posts if the board gets clustered

I for one would like to see more applications created for PPCoin such as an API Image ticker for converting PPC to BTC and £ or $ similar to

http://btcticker.appspot.com/

and the one for devcoin

http://devtome.com/DVCImage/

a donate widget is very much needed

like bitcoin has
but before that the new ppcoin logo needs to be nailed down, once that’s done (and there are many superb suggestions) Sunny needs to confirm it’s the one

until the logo is done hard to move forward with anything!

back onto widget, necessary otherwise webmasters need to paste address on site and looks messy

something like this, simple

can be coded on site, but ideally comes with built in code so is a paste in widget just add your own address so when clicked the donater knows which address to send to

I notice www.quarkcoin.org are developing widgets like this
i think quark coin is very promising too with a unique secure hashing algorithm for security

I’m working on a little something for donation buttons, stay tuned! :slight_smile:

Hehe

I’m proud to kind of announce:
http://peerco.in/donation_create_beta.php

https://peerco.in/donation/create
The Peerco.in Donation button generator.

It, well…
You can try it for yourself.

A proper generator is coming soon

Modify this code to use it yourself. It’s in development still, but it shouldn’t break – if i do break anything, i’ll post it here until its finished and I make a proper announce thread.

<form action="https://peerco.in/donation/process" method="post" target="_top">
<input type="hidden" name="cmd" value="donation">
<input type="hidden" name="name" value="Luke Martinez">
<input type="hidden" name="email" value="me@luke.asia">
<input type="hidden" name="address" value="PFAKEFAKEFAKEfagahfhdahfa">
<input type="hidden" name="note" value="I'm saving up for my future.">

<input type="hidden" name="notelongtitle" value="About Luke Martinez">

<input type="hidden" name="notelong" value="So this is the long note that you're going to have to read about me aparently! Muhahaha Lorem Ipsum Neque porro quisquam est qui dolorem ipsum quia dolor sit amet, consectetur, adipisci ve ">
<input type="image" src="https://peerco.in/img/ad/PPCButtonGreenAlternate.png" border="0" name="submit" alt="Peerco.in">
</form>

A few interesting things to note.
If you delete certain field lines, it will adapt and continue to operate. It wont warn you if you delete something crucial… such as the address. But if you have no Long note, It wont look out of place, it’ll adapt.

These are made by you, the content is not made by the page.

I’m still working on the design.

Im working on a form that generates the button code, im also working on a version that can be used with fourms etc

[ul]I love the idea behind Bitmessage, encrypted email sent using the Bitmessage protocol. It would be great if we could build the same thing into the PPCoin client. Here is how it would work:
[li]To send any message would cost a very small PPCoin fee. This would reduce spam.[/li]
[li]Let’s say that I sell a physical item that needs to be shipped to the buyer. The item ended up being sold for 590 PPC.[/li]
[li]The PPCoin blockchain would allow me to add information to any transaction, so I send an invoice to the buyer’s PPCoin address. The invoice is embedded into the transaction. Cost to send: 0.01 PPC.
[/li][li]The buyer responds by sending me back an email with his or her mailing address. Cost: 0.01 PPC.
[/li][li]Since the message with the shipping address came from the buyer’s PPCoin address, I know that it is in fact the correct person that I am shipping the item to.
[/li]
[li]The receipt, shipping address, invoice, and all other pertinent communications are stored in the blockchain forever in an encrypted format. Only the buyer and the seller have the necessary keys to decrypt the information, so they will always be able to retrieve a full record of the transaction for tax purposes, etc.
[/li][/ul]

I’m not a cryptographer, but I am pretty sure that what I am proposing here is possible. The PPCoin email client built into the PPCoin client would work on standard Public Key Encryption. The buyer would reveal his or her PPCoin address by sending the full 590 PPCoin payment to the PPCoin address posted on the seller’s website. This exposes the seller to the public key associated with the buyer’s PPCoin address. The seller can now use this public key to send encrypted messages to the buyer, which will be decrypted by ONLY the buyer using the buyer’s secret private key.

The seller gets the 590 PPC, and sends an invoice/receipt back to the buyer via the blockchain. The buyer now has the seller’s public key, and can send encrypted messages to the seller. Now, the two can communicate back and forth, as much as necessary.

Hello everybody, I’m new to this forum and PPCoin. I found it quite difficult to sign up and activate my account here, for example the verification has to be written in words and not numbers, which was a bit confusing at first. I think a new or upgraded website would help to advertise PPCoin and bring it to the masses. I’m not very knowledgeable in crypto currencies but I hope to help this cause and make Sunnys idea a reality.

Adam :)
Sorry about that. We are experiencing a lot of growth in our crypto so there will be some bugs along the way.
