Ledger Delisted Peercoin! My money is lost! Please help!

Dear Community,

I recently discovered that Peercoin has been delisted from the Ledger app, and as a result, I can no longer see my Peercoins in the application. This situation has caused me significant concern, and I am unsure how to recover my Peercoins.

If anyone has experienced this issue or has insights on resolving it, I would greatly appreciate your guidance. This development feels alarming, and I am eager to ensure the safety and accessibility of my funds.

Thank you for your support.

Best regards,
K

Just a word of caution, there were several people I had to ban who replied to this thread with fake support links. I believe they private messaged you also. Please ignore those links in case you saw them before I deleted them.

Also, someone responded to your message on our Telegram channel with the following…

Thanks Veggy.
I also found this page on the Ledger website which adds more information:

Perhaps @veggy can confirm the process:

  1. peercoiners type in their Ledger recovery word phrase/seed (24 words) into the BIP39 Mnemonic field (where the red arrow is).
  2. set the Coin to Peercoin.
  3. pick the first private key in the list generated, and import that into the PPC client.

I’ve had a go at this, as I have a small number of peercoins on Ledger - however, with no success.

I copied the webpage with the key generator (BIP39 - Mnemonic Code) to an old laptop that is offline.

I typed in my 24 word Ledger recovery phrase, and selected PPC from the drop down.

I selected the first private key from the list of derived addresses (NB. I don’t see how one recovery phrase can generate multiple private addresses - shouldn’t there be only one?)

I unlocked my PPC client, and in the Console typed importprivkey followed by the private key.

It processed for a minute, then said “null”.

Edit: I have put the private key into the old Peercoin paper wallet generator (wallet.peercointalk. org) and it said “The text you entered is not a valid Private Key”.
