Integrate virtual keyboard into Peerunity client (300 PPC Bounty)

In case you missed it, Jordan Lee offered a 300 PPC peer4commit tip for a pull request that uses Maliit to enter the wallet passphrase in Peerunity.

The idea is to have a defence against keyloggers capturing your wallet passphrase.
In the thread is a discussion about other options instead of Maliit. Please make sure that you contact Jordan Lee first before you go that way.

This would be a nice feature to have if its possible.

It’s been a while but is there any development on this?

SigmundAlpha is working on a virtual keyboard.
There’s a screenshot in this topic: http://www.peercointalk.org/index.php?topic=3282.0.

Ah, thanks glv.

Any update on this?

It’s done. Been done since October. https://github.com/Peerunity/Peerunity/pull/124, and I’ve already been paid for it http://peer4commit.com/projects/74/distributions/333.

It’s should be in the current RC4 https://github.com/Peerunity/Peerunity/releases/tag/v0.1.2-RC4, and it should be in the next release of Peerunity, which is waiting on some OSX compatibility issues (I think, don’t quote me on that).

It was included with the 0.1.1 release: https://github.com/Peerunity/Peerunity/releases/tag/v0.1.1

I’ve been working on getting a nice OSX buidling solution done, but I got distracted with getting target apps for another project up and running.

Honestly, its only missing getting the Qt libraries cross-compile ready. I have a signing process completed, and am ready to deploy the daemon version to OSX (I think, those I distributed the first test batch to didn’t get back to me). It’s pretty difficult getting it ready without a OSX machine here to work on it with.[/s]
