Peercoin Technology Ecosystem Map (PTEM)

Purpose
By mapping the all the nodes and dependencies of the Peercoin technology ecosystem and visualizing the result, we hope to achieve the following:

[ol][li]Make it easier to get an overview of what the ecosystem already has.[/li]
[li]Identifying new technologies that would add value and show why they are valuable.[/li]
[li]Make it clear for developers where help and development is needed.[/li]
[li]Make it easier for investors and whales, to identify the importance of certain technologies and give them a reason to help fund the work.[/li][/ol]

Developer example:
PopThedev decides to implement a wallet and decides to submit the project to PTEM. The project is funded via Peershares, but the funds won’t cover the work required for porting pycoin. This library could probably be used by projects, so PopThedev submits Pycoin to PTEM.

Invstor/Whale example:
Biggreen looks at PTEM and realizes that it would be good for the value of peercoins if the wallet was built, since it would drive adoption. Studying the map is becomes clear that the wallet already has funding, and that only a little bit of peercoins will be needed to port pycoin and make this happen.

Procedure

[ol][li]Create a new thread or post on the peercointalk forum.[/li]
[li]Use this template http://www.peercointalk.org/index.php?topic=3219.msg30461#msg30461 fill in the details and you will have created a new submission.[/li]
[li]If you’re unsure of how to fill in the template, take a look at these examples: pycoin, wallet[/li]
[li]Send a PM to OP with a link to the submission.[/li]
[li]Wait for response.[/li]
[li]When submission is accepted, it will be added to the list below.[/li][/ol]

Project managment
This project is currently maintained by pillow (from now on referred to as OP). When OP is no longer maintaining this project, a new peercointalk member will be nominated, who is then encouraged to copy the content of this post and create a new thread. Actually, a member can at anytime nominate him or herself, fork this project by simply creating a new thread and then high-jack it by simply doing a better job. This is by design and in alignment with the decentralized nature of the great Peercoin community. If this were to happen, this post will be deprecated and a re-direct link provided to the new project thread.

Lightweight Multi-platform Peercoin Wallet

Summary
Max 3 sentences.
Develop and deploy a secure Peercoin wallet that can be used on multiple platforms. The purpose is to provide the means to safely spend and receive peercoins with focus on ease of use.

Full description
Concise explanation or url with documentation.
Develop and make available, a wallet that programmed in HTML5. Keys should be generated (from seed) and stored locally. The application should be lightweight and not communicate directly with the network. Instead the application should use trusted nodes to do the heavy lifting. The idea is to create a wallet that is very easy to start using even for the novice user, unfamiliar to crypto currencies.

Benefit for community
Max one paragraph.
By making it easier and more available for new and existing users to transact in peercoins, we think this could help drive adoption.

Usage example
If not applicable leave empty.
User hears about Peercoin for the first time, is provided a link and a few seconds later has a wallet ready to be used.

Known blockers
If unknown leave empty.
Need a port of Pycoin (http://www.peercointalk.org/index.php?topic=3219.msg30462#msg30462)

Requirements and dependencies
Provide links when appropriate.
Requires access to a trusted Peercoin node API. Depends on Pycoin (http://www.peercointalk.org/index.php?topic=3201.msg30379#msg30379).

Prior work
What differentiates this from similar things? Provide links when appropriate.
To our knowledge, there are no other multi-platform wallets for Peercoin. There are many such wallets for Bitcoin, which could be used for inspiration. Electrum and Hive in particular, because they provide solutions for light-weight wallets and locally secured data.

Estimated cost or man hours
If unknown or not applicable leave empty.
Funded as Peershares.

Additional comment
Please make sure it doesn’t fit under the headers above first.
If possible, add support for Peershares.
