I found a genesis generator, so I don’t have to build it from scratch. However, I’m not sure if the hashing & encryption algorithms for bitcoin & peercoin are identical. Can anyone confirm?
Also, there’s mention of “Program at the moment assumes 50 coins” in that thread. Is that the reward for mining genesis, or did the bitcoin genesis block actually send coin to someone? I’ve heard that peercoin did not. Can anyone describe the differences between the two genesis blocks?
I’ve also found a more direct way to reduce difficulty, but peercoin’s version is more complex. Does anyone know how to translate the recommended changes to peercoin?
This looks “easier”, but the deeper I go, the more complexity arises.
