Fine examples of altcoin marketing: Megacoin and Franko

I don’t know anything about the coins (learning now) but there are two altcoins that have dang good examples of marketing/website/distinctive fonts and colors that I think we can learn from. They are http://frankos.org/ and http://www.megacoin.co.nz

I have the feeling they are both scam coins with good marketing. Does anybody else like them? Should we be driving in that direction? Are we driving in that direction?

Just a note that I do realize this is an taste/opinion thing… so when I say “fine” I mean my opinion.

Also, should point out www.circle.com - not a coin but a coin related service which has enormous venture backing (ie. they would be a smart branding/website model to emulate).

Big fan of the megacoin site! It just feels fun to browse. The coin itself is nothing special, but that is a great example of user-friendly website design.

Totally. If we gave peercoin legs like that - it would be a beast running wild. Simple messaging too (even if it leaves me, the tech, curious - I think the layman would be all over it.)

I like the mega coin design but when it comes to the content pages it gets weirded somehow. The info graphics are just great.

I want to add the google nexus tablet page to the list. It’s based on a slight parallax effect and great for anything that has to transport a message instead of content. Sure we have to explain the stake thing in more detail but firstly we want to promote our key points in a visual and easy manner. We would have to make sure to include the right pictures.
