Thanks for posting about this Peerchemist. I ended up having to work on the weekend and haven’t had time to create the thread.
Guys, we need the full help of the community to contact as many service providers as possible and make sure they are switched to v0.5.3. In order to make this easier, we need to know the following:
Which exchange or service provider did you contact?
How did you contact them, Twitter, email, online form? Email is preferred.
Let us know here if they responded, so we can confirm below that they have been notified.
Please post about any exchanges or service providers if they are not featured in the list below…
In order to ensure that all Peercoin related services can continue after April 25th, we are confirming with our exchange and service providers whether they have updated or are in the process of updating to the mandatory v0.5.3 Peercoin client. The v0.4 Peercoin wallet will cease to work after April 25th. Upgrades of existing v0.4 wallets after April 25th require a download of the blockchain to be able to continue using the wallet.
Can you please respond with answers to the following questions:
Have you already upgraded all your wallets to v0.5.3 in order to continue services after April 25th?
If no, have you already planned to upgrade your wallet(s)?
Here are some useful resources to upgrade the wallet:
Please let me know if everything in the sample email above is correct. I copied it from Cybnate’s post when we upgraded to v0.4. I just made some small alterations.
IF ANY EXCHANGE ON THE LIST IS NOT CONFIRMED, AND YOU HAVE AN EXISTING ACCOUNT AT THE EXCHANGE:
PLEASE OPEN A TROUBLE TICKET OR HELP DESK REQUEST WITH TRACKING NUMBER, TO INFORM THEM OF THE HARD FORK.
Doing so will protect your Peercoin investment, and help the peercoin community at large.
Please do not wait for the some other person to do it, because that’s what the other person is thinking too. Peercoin hard forks are very rare. The 2 or 3 minutes you will spend doing this is greatly appreciated.

The list is updated. We still have about 8 exchanges that have not been contacted yet. Most of the big ones have confirmed however, so that’s good news.
