I see a lot of parallels in the comments of this article to the Peercoin community, focusing on the technology first before marketing, the push to build things on top of the blockchain, etc…

The difference besides the initial distribution is Peercoin’s focus on keeping the blockchain as small as possible and building things into sidechains, rather than on top of the main chain.

Ambitious plans or madness.
I prefer modular systems to systems that try to provide all.
That’s why I’ll prefer sidechains for Peercoin to the NXT approach :wink:
