Chain length in jhprimeminer

Hi!
How to set the chain length in jhprimeminer?
Should I fiddle with sources?

What do you mean with “set” the chainlength.

The minimum chainlength is given to you by the pool.

I meant something similar to “-poolshare” option in primeminer

see recent discussion in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=257623.820;topicseen .
try -target 9 -bttarget 9

Shouldn’t we use -target 10 -bttarget 10 since the network went up to 10?

Yes you are right.

Does it mean that all the chains jhprimeminer find below 10ch will be discarded?

Yes,

i do not see how this makes sense when you are pool mining.

I don’t pool mine. I mine solo using jhprimeminer with xpm option.

I don’t know soloing with jhprimeminer. But when pool mining the shorter chains will be rewarded per the reward policy of the pool so usually 6 to 9 chains will be submitted by hte miner.
