that’s a great idea. I think many people just don’t know about peercoin, peershares and nubits and other scam projects get the attention because they use more aggressive marketing. we should make a community donation pool or something and use it to spread positive propaganda about peercoin and its friends.

No, there is no official bitcointalk thread. I think it was determined that it would differentiate NuBits from all the other altcoins.
I think the importance is overvalued anyway. There is so much noise, it is hard to get on top of that. Waste of time, I guess.
