Blockchain protocols being easy to fork is not any more unique than stealing someone else ideas is easy as well. It takes more than a fork or an idea to make something substantial.
The point of the blockchain is to provide at least some notion of security guarantees.
Just because it’s easy to fork Bitcoin does not grant the fork the same security guarantees.
