Thank you all for supporting Peerbet. Tournament has ended and it is time to end the project. It was a nice and smart project that utilized blockchain as it meant to be used, I will publish more on this some other time. Project was started to promote Peercoin, so I hope that someone out there recognized Peercoin due to this project. For now I will just lay out some number to keep it transparent.

  • Total profit of the Peerbet through this tournament is 550.05167300 PPC
(Which means 220.01 PPC will be donated to PeerKeeper project)

  • There was total of 204 incoming and outgoing transactions, which means 2.04 PPC were burnt in the process.
(This shows what we can expect is we had more projects utilizing the Peercoin blockchain)

I hope you all had some fun. Maybe I will start something like this again in the future if there is interest.

P.S.

One more thing I want to say is that this also points to one of the solutions to our persistent problem of not having enough resources to fund development. With more profit-making projects utilizing the network we open up more opportunities for our developers to get paid from that kind of projects in exchange for some work. In this case this is just a donation, but hypothetically we can speak of this as a investment in the future as PeerKeeper would allow a customer even easier access and richer user experience to Peerbet or similar services.
In my opinion, this is where the answer lies. Not in IPO’s or presales - but in cooperation of profit making companies/organization/and their decentralized counterparts with developers who’s code if open will enrich the ecosystem for all users.

can you please continue peerbet with something else like the USA elections?

It was great fun!

Muchos gracias my friend, PeerKeeper will keep progressing thanks to this and all other donations!

Isn’t it 2.04?

PeerKeeper integration would be great!

I fully agree! This is the way we should progress!

You sure that would be fun? I would rest now for a while. Maybe start over for next UEFA Champions League (but skipping the group stage).
It is not really worth the time to be honest, all the game compiling and results checking take time and are largely unrewarding.
Group stage of this UEFA Euro paid as much as did 2nd best pot (Germany-Italy). So 20 games for 1. Then this final games has doubled the sum of those two combined.

I would wait a bit and see will we soon start working on technology that would allow decentralized and automated Peerbet, if not then any automation would help to combat low return of certain games.

peerchemist thank you very much for the peerbet, great result for such a quick project, hopefully you release sources for this soon )

and big thanks for your support of peerkeeper, another wonderful project that I should have sent coins to instead of losing them on france lol
