2x xfx 6870 Double Dissipation crashing

I have recently got my second xfx 6870 1gb graphics card off a friend after lending him it. In cgminer 3.6.4 I cannot run the primary card without the display adapter crashing every couple of seconds. this happens at all intensities and in crossfire as well as not in crossfire.
Can anyone help me.

I had read somewhere that cgminer was stopping gpu support and development, so might be worth trying with an earlier version like 3.5 cgminer.

Also u verified it not a gpu issue? U setup each gpu separately and can mine with them ok singularly?

Both cards work fine, ill try a different cgminer once my raspberry pi comes in the post, thanks :slight_smile:

have you tried putting a dummy cable in it? or attach a screen you don’t use ,

I don’t understand, gpu’s in combination with raspberries?

Ill try this, i have a spare monitor :stuck_out_tongue:
The raspberry pi is for my asics which im trying to keep running 24/7, im not too bothered about sorting the problem until it arrives because im trying to keep them online as much as possible. the gpus are just a bonus :slight_smile:
