Your balance stays at 0.00 because you did not solve a block.
You only recieve money if you successfully solve a block with the difficult stated here:

On my windows box my numbers go up so im not sure on linux. However candy is correct that you shouldn’t see anything until you solve a block.

Max diff: 8.606997 is the number of the highest chain you have found. if that number is over the current difficulty then you would have solved a block. Under it and it’s only a “chance”
